Administration of Oaths

Administration of Oaths

As a Notary Public, I am able to administer and notarise a wide variety of affidavits, oaths, and declarations for use anywhere in the world. Please ensure that you have any attachments or exhibits referred to in the document and please do not sign the document before the appointment.

Oaths can be sworn using a religious text, or affirmed without one. I have a wide variety of religious texts available for this purpose.

The cost of an administering an oath as a Notary Public for use abroad will depend on the length of the document and number of attachments/exhibits. Please send me a copy so that I can provide a quote.

A Notary Public is also a Commissioner for Oaths in England and Wales. If you need to sign and swear a statutory declaration for England and Wales before me, please send me a copy of the declaration to review before the appointment. I charge £125 to review the document. The review process ensures that when you come to the appointment everything is in order and that you have any necessary additional documents required. However, I do not give legal advice relating to the content of the document, and it is your responsibility to ensure that the document has been drafted to meet the requirements of the legal process it is being used for. The cost for me to administer a declaration for England and Wales is fixed by law at £5, and £2 per exhibit. This means the total cost for me to first review and then administer the declaration is £130. If the declaration is to be used in Scotland, Ireland, the Bailiwick of Jersey, the Bailiwick of Guernsey, or the Isle of Man, the document will require notarisation and my notarial fees will apply.
